I have been invited again this year to share my experience with the genetics students at the University of Toronto. It is so important to engage with people early in their careers to help them understand the real-life implications that genetic testing can have on individuals and their families. Genetic test reshapes how we see ourselves, influences family dynamics, and can lead to mental health challenges. I am so grateful for the opportunity to do this year after year as it helps bring awareness to the needs HD families.
